Building Relationships.
Strengthening Communities.
DBA Training Solutions was founded by a team of experienced law enforcement professionals, responding to the need for training designed to help unite police departments and the communities they serve. After training more than 1,000 police officers in the areas of Implicit Bias and Procedural Justice, we began tailoring our workshops to meet the needs of corporations, medical professionals, schools, and community groups.
Our team has delivered workshops to physicians, teachers, corporate executives, as well as groups in the non-profit sector and the service industry. Because all people hold some form of bias, our training is applicable to everyone. At DBA, we believe regardless of your background, political affiliation, or what you do for a living, we are all more alike than we are different.
Our mission is to create healthier organizations and stronger communities by helping our clients build better relationships with the people they serve.
Each workshop is facilitated by a minimum of two trainers who utilize a combination of lecture, videos, and small-group discussion to deliver a unique and highly relevant learning experience. Our team custom tailors each presentation to meet the needs of the client.
Jason discusses the concept of Fast Traps and participants share their personal stories.
Jeff and Robin discuss the concept of the Slow Trap and how we sometimes act out of character when we feel as though we are being judged by others.
The team discusses various ways to avoid falling into traps by making more informed decisions.

It's a fact of life - every human being holds a bias of some sort. For some, the bias relates to race. For others, it can be age, gender, socioeconomic status, even political affiliation.
The term "Implicit Bias" (also known as Unconscious Bias) refers to those biases that one might not even know they have. These biases are unrelated to one's character but can still get you into trouble.
When people make decisions based on these unconscious beliefs, they open themselves up to customer complaints, lawsuits, even termination of employment. For an organization, this can mean negative publicity, decrease in employee morale, and difficulties in recruitment.
During this 4-5 hour, interactive training workshop, we explore the various pitfalls associated with bias-based decision making, and provide the participant with the tools they need to make more informed decisions.

Procedural Justice is a processed-based approach for evaluating the way we treat people. Originally delivered for police officers as a tool to help improve relationships with citizens, this course is applicable to virtually any professional setting. In this workshop, we examine the four basic pillars of Procedural Justice, the Citizen's Assessment Formula, and the concept of the "Community Bank."
Regardless of whether you are a police officer, a CEO, a teacher, or a healthcare provider, the principals taught in this workshop are relevant in your daily life. When you weave the principals of Procedural Justice into the fabric of your organization, everyone benefits.
Organizations that practice Procedural Justice are subject to fewer customer complaints, enjoy greater compliance with policies, decrease their chances of a lawsuit, and have less stress in the workplace.
